UNESWA Cisco Networking Academy
The University of Eswatini (UNESWA) and Eswatini Post & Telecomunications (EPTC) are elated to announce the resuscitation of the CISCO Networking Academy. This is a professional programme run by a team of qualified and competent trainers. CISCO Networking Academy certifies a technician's ability to install, set up, configure, troubleshoot and operate a medium-sized routed and switched computer network. This also includes implementing and verifying connections to a wide area network (WAN)

Entry Requirements
Any prior familiarity with computers and/or networking is advantageous. At minimum, students should already have the skill to execute elementary computer tasks such as using a mouse and keyboard and performing simple Windows operations (copy & paste and storing files). Students should also have experience with using a web browser to surf the Internet. If you have no prior networking knowledge, plan on eight to 16 hours of homework/study time per week

UNESWA Cisco Networking Academy Modules
The academy is currently offering three modules:
- Module 1: Introduction to Networks
- Module 2: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials
- Module 3: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation

Begin preparing for a networking career with this introduction to how networks operate. This first course in the 3-course CCNA series introduces:
- Models, protocols, and networking elements – functions needed to support the operations and priorities of Fortune 500 companies to small innovative retailers.
- Simple local area networks (LANs) architecture.
- IP addressing schemes,Foundational network security
- Basic configurations for routers and switches.
NB: No prerequisites required

Module 2: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials
Delve further into the world of networking with the second CCNA course in a 3-course series. This course focuses on:
- Switching technologies and router operations that support small-to-medium business networks, including wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts
- Basic network configuration and troubleshooting
- LAN security threats identification and mitigation
- Basic WLAN configuration and security
Recommended preparation: CCNA v7: Introduction to Networks or having equivalent knowledge

Module 3: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation
Recommended preparation: CCNAv7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials or possessing equivalent knowledge
Large enterprises depend heavily on the smooth operation of their network infrastructures. This third course in the 3-course CCNA series describes:
- Architectures and considerations related to designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise networks,
